Tilt trailers for sale
A tilt trailer is a trailer whose whole deck tilts down to the ground on a hydraulic cylinder, so equipment drives straight on, without ramps. At Martin Remorques, we sell N&N Lowland and Deck Over Tilt trailers, from 18 to 24 ft.

What is a tilt trailer used for?
It is ideal for anything low that rolls: sports and collector cars, forklifts, commercial mowers, lifts, small tractors and machinery. Without ramps, the slope is gentler and nothing scrapes.
People also choose it to save time: no ramps to pull out, position or put away. With a winch, it can load a broken-down vehicle or a load that does not roll.
Lowland or Deck Over Tilt?
N&N’s Lowland has a low deck, only 21 in off the ground, and a 14,000 lb cylinder that raises the deck hydraulically and lowers it by gravity. It is the choice for low equipment and cars. It comes in 18 and 20 ft.
The 24 ft Deck Over Tilt has a deck built over the wheels, which gives a full 102 in of width. With an 8,550 lb payload capacity, a winch track and plate, and fold-down steps, it suits wide machinery and pallets.
Common sizes and widths
Tilt trailers usually measure 16 to 24 ft. Between the fenders, expect about 82 in: enough for a car, a forklift or a commercial mower. When the deck sits over the wheels, as on the Deck Over Tilt, you get the full 102 in width for wide machinery and pallets.
Our 18 and 20 ft Lowlands and our 24 ft Deck Over Tilt ride on 7,500 lb axles. A longer deck lets you place the weight properly ahead of the axles and haul a machine with its attachments.
Choosing the right tilt trailer
For low vehicles or narrow equipment, the Lowland’s low deck is the most practical. For equipment wider than the space between the fenders, the Deck Over Tilt gives you the full width of the deck.
As with any trailer, consider the weight of the load and your vehicle’s towing capacity. We help you make the right choice and plan a winch installation if needed.
Options and Weberlane tilt trailers
An electric winch mounted on the winch plate loads a broken-down vehicle or a load that does not roll. The stake pockets with tie-down rail, the box with hydraulic pump and the full-width rear bridge plate on our Lowlands, or the fold-down steps on the Deck Over Tilt, make everyday work faster.
We also sell Weberlane Tilt-N-Load tilt trailers, rated from 3.5 to 10 tons: the Power Tilt is operated with a button, the Gravity Tilt lowers on its own as the machine drives on, and the Deckover versions offer a full 8.5 ft deck. They can be ordered tri-axle in 27 and 29 ft and hot-dip galvanized.
Hydraulic tilt, brakes and inspection
Some trailers tilt by gravity: you move the load behind the pivot and the deck goes down. Our N&N tilt trailers have a hydraulic pump and cylinder: you tilt the deck at the push of a button, even empty, and it lowers smoothly. The pump runs on a battery kept charged by a smart charger.
With 7,500 lb axles, our tilt trailers have a GVWR of 4,500 kg or more: they need brakes on all their load-bearing wheels, and they are heavy vehicles in Québec. Our Lowlands have electric brakes. Plan for periodic mechanical inspection, with some exceptions based on use, and, for a business, registration with the Commission des transports du Québec.
Tilt trailer care
Keep the battery charged, check the oil level, hoses and hydraulic fittings, and grease the deck pivot. If the deck lowers slowly or the pump strains, have the cylinder checked before the next trip. Once a year, have the brakes, bearings and floor inspected.
Our workshop maintains the hydraulic system, brakes and wiring of tilt trailers, and can install a winch on the plate provided for it.

How does a tilt trailer work?
A hydraulic cylinder, powered by a pump and battery, lifts the front of the deck so the rear tilts down to the ground. You drive the equipment on, the deck returns to level and you tie the load down.
Do I need a winch on a tilt trailer?
Not for equipment that drives on by itself. A winch is useful for a broken-down vehicle or a load that does not roll. The Lowland and the Deck Over Tilt have a welded winch plate to mount one.
Can a tilt trailer haul a low car?
Yes, it is one of its best uses. The Lowland’s low deck and the absence of ramps reduce the loading angle and keep the underside of the car from scraping.
Can a tilt trailer replace a flatbed?
Yes for most uses: it hauls the same loads without ramps to handle. A fixed flatbed stays lighter and simpler for materials and pallets loaded by forklift.
Does a tilt trailer need an inspection?
Yes if its GVWR is 4,500 kg or more, which is the case for our tilt trailers with 7,500 lb axles: periodic mechanical inspection, with some exceptions based on use.
Can I finance a tilt trailer?
Yes. Martin Remorques works with National Bank of Canada for bank financing and with Crédit-Bail CLÉ for business leasing. We prepare the application with you; the institution approves it and sets the rate.
