Trailer financing
Drive away with the trailer you need and pay for it in instalments. Martin Remorques, in Saint-Ambroise-de-Kildare, works with National Bank of Canada for bank financing and with Crédit-Bail CLÉ for business leasing. We help you choose the option and prepare your application; the institution reviews it and sets the rate. Apply right on this page.

Why finance your trailer?
Financing gets you the right trailer now, instead of a smaller or older one because of the budget. You spread the cost over regular payments and keep your cash for everything else: equipment, materials, the unexpected.
For a contractor, a dump trailer, a flatbed or an enclosed trailer is a tool that earns money: it carries more per trip, saves round trips and lets you take on bigger contracts. Its payments are made while it works for you.
Bank financing: the trailer is yours
With National Bank of Canada financing, you buy the trailer and it belongs to you from day one. You repay the loan in fixed instalments, at the rate and term set in your contract. You can fit it out and equip it as you wish.
It is the option for individuals and many businesses. It usually costs far less than a credit card, whose rates often exceed 20%, and it keeps your line of credit free for other needs.
Commercial leasing: built for businesses
With a Crédit-Bail CLÉ lease, your business uses the trailer in exchange for monthly rent. You preserve your working capital and bank credit lines, and add a trailer to your fleet without tying up capital. At the end of the contract, you can usually buy the trailer under the agreed terms.
Lease payments are generally treated as a business expense. Your accountant will confirm the tax treatment for your situation and tell you whether a lease or a loan works best for you.
Loan or lease: how to choose?
Choose a loan if you want to own the trailer right away, keep it a long time or buy it personally. Choose a lease if the trailer is for your business, you want to keep your cash and credit lines, or you renew your equipment regularly.
Either way, compare the total cost, not just the payment: rate, term, buyout value at the end of the lease, fees and early repayment terms. We walk you through each offer before you sign.
How it works at Martin Remorques
Choose your trailer, in stock or on order, then send the request form below, saying whether the purchase is personal or for your business. We prepare the application with you, here in Saint-Ambroise-de-Kildare or over the phone, and send it to National Bank or Crédit-Bail CLÉ.
The institution reviews your file and sets the rate, term and payment amount based on your file and the trailer you choose. Once the application is approved, you review and sign your contract, then drive away with your trailer.

Which institutions does Martin Remorques work with?
With National Bank of Canada for bank financing, and with Crédit-Bail CLÉ for commercial leasing.
Does Martin Remorques lend the money?
No. Martin Remorques is not a financial institution: we work with National Bank of Canada and Crédit-Bail CLÉ. We help you choose between a loan and a lease, gather the documents and fill in the application, then send it to them. The institution reviews your file, approves it and sets the rate, term and payments.
Is leasing available to individuals?
The Crédit-Bail CLÉ lease is a commercial lease, for businesses. Individuals finance their trailer with a National Bank loan.
Are lease payments tax deductible?
Lease payments are generally treated as a business expense. Your accountant confirms the treatment for your situation.
Which trailers can be financed?
All our trailers in stock can be financed, subject to the institution’s approval: enclosed, utility, dump, flatbed and tilt. A trailer on order, such as a gooseneck, can be financed too.
Can I pay off my financing early?
It depends on the contract: some loans are open and can be repaid at any time without penalty, others have fees. Ask for the early repayment terms before you sign; we explain them to you.
Do I need a down payment?
Not always. A down payment lowers your payments and interest cost, and it can make approval easier. The lender sets the terms based on your file.
My credit is not perfect: can I apply?
Yes. The lender reviews every file. A larger down payment or a co-applicant can help get an approval.
I am self-employed: what do I need to provide?
Your income is mainly shown by your notices of assessment for the last two years, with photo ID and recent bank statements.
Are seasonal payments possible?
For a seasonal business, such as landscaping, snow removal or farming, some equipment financing programs offer seasonal or semi-annual payments. Tell us when your revenue comes in and we check the option with the lender.
Does the financed trailer need insurance?
Lenders generally require the financed trailer to be insured. Call your insurer before delivery to add it to your policy.
Why not pay with my credit card?
Credit cards often charge more than 20%. Trailer financing usually costs much less and keeps your card and line of credit free.
What are the financing rates?
Rates and terms depend on your credit file, the amount financed and the trailer. They are set by the lender and written in your offer. Call us at 450 759-0472 to get started.
