Trailer maintenance and repairs

A well-maintained trailer rolls safely and lasts for years. At our Saint-Ambroise-de-Kildare workshop, our mechanics handle general maintenance, repairs and equipment installation on enclosed, utility, dump, flatbed and tilt trailers.

Trailer maintenance and repairs

Trailer maintenance

Once a year, or before your busy season, have the bearings, brakes, suspension, tires and lighting inspected. Our mechanics grease or replace bearings, adjust electric brakes, check the coupler, safety chains and wiring, and tell you what needs doing now and what can wait.

Dump and tilt trailers also need hydraulic system care: oil, hoses, fittings, cylinder, pump and battery. Enclosed trailers need care for the doors, locks, seals and roof.

Repairs

A light that no longer works, a trailer that pulls to one side, a hot bearing, a damaged floor or a dump box that will not lift: we find the cause and fix it. Electrical and wiring, brakes, bearings, suspension and springs, floors, doors and ramps, hydraulics.

Parts come from our parts and accessories department, which orders from 263 manufacturers: you do not have to track them down yourself.

Equipment installation

We install the equipment that makes your trailer more useful, for example a winch, LED lighting, storage box, tie-down rails and rings, snowmobile glide strips, shelving and enclosed trailer interior fit-outs.

Bring us your project: we suggest the parts, order them and install them.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Your questions,
our answers

Ask a question
What work do you do on trailers?

General maintenance, repairs and equipment installation: brakes, bearings, suspension, electrical, floors, doors, ramps and hydraulics.

How often should my trailer be serviced?

A full inspection once a year is a good rule, more often if the trailer travels a lot or hauls heavy loads. Your trailer and axle manuals give the manufacturer’s intervals.

Can you install an accessory on my trailer?

Yes. We install winches, lighting, boxes, tie-down rails and interior fit-outs. We can also order the accessory for you.
