Nitro Trailers or Ideal Cargo trailer?
Martin Remorques does not sell Nitro Trailers. For the same need, here are the brands sold at Martin Remorques:
Nitro Trailers builds aluminum trailers in Pittsfield, Maine: enclosed cargo, car haulers, contractor, race and snowmobile trailers and open trailers, with a 5-year warranty. For the same uses, Martin Remorques sells Ideal Cargo enclosed trailers and galvanized Laroche utility trailers, both built in Québec.

Nitro trailers at a glance
Nitro Trailers designs and builds its trailers in Pittsfield, Maine, with its own design team. The brand advertises 25 aluminum models in several widths and lengths: cargo trailers, car haulers, contractor, race and snowmobile trailers and open trailers.
Many are custom-built, with options chosen by the buyer. Its trailers carry a 5-year manufacturer warranty, and Nitro sells them through dealers in the United States and Canada. If you saw one, note its category and size: that is how we find the Martin Remorques trailer that does the same job.
Snowmobile trailer: enclosed or open?
An open trailer costs less and loads quickly, but the snowmobile rides through salt and slush. An enclosed trailer keeps it dry and locked, serves as storage between outings and protects the windshield and cover. It is the choice for people who ride far or often.
At our shop, the Ideal Cargo Sport Zone carries the snowmobile or ATV: a rear door that folds into a 2,000 lb ramp, four 5,000 lb floor anchors and an R5 insulated interior. We also order Weberlane enclosed snowmobile trailers, in steel or aluminum, with a front and a rear ramp to drive in and out.
The contractor trailer
Nitro has contractor trailers. At Martin Remorques, it is the Ideal Cargo Work Zone: double rear doors, a side door with a flush lock, 80 in of interior height in the 7 ft width and R5 insulation. The 7 × 16 ft rides on 5,200 lb drop axles, with a rear spoiler carrying four white LED lights and a keyed compression lock.
Its galvanized steel structure is warranted for life against corrosion and for 10 years against breakage, and its recycled composite walls covered in aluminum make it about 10% lighter than a conventional trailer, according to Ideal Cargo. Our Work Zone trailers run from 5 × 8 to 8.5 × 16 ft.
An open trailer for the yard and the cottage
For an open trailer, we sell Laroche utility trailers, galvanized and built in Québec. The large 66 in × 10 ft has two 2,000 lb axles, a treated plank floor, four tie-down rings, a triple tongue, a jack wheel and a rear ramp to load a mower, a snowblower or an ATV.
The single-axle 4 × 8 and 4.5 × 8 ft are made for soil, firewood, branches or a trip to the recycling depot, with 13 in sides and a top rail. A galvanized utility trailer has no paint to touch up: the zinc protects the steel from salt and moisture.
A trailer for the whole year
A Sport Zone enclosed trailer is not just for the snowmobile. In winter, it carries the sled dry to the trail; in summer, the ATV, motorcycle or mower; in between, it serves as locked storage for seasonal gear. Its 2,000 lb ramp door and 5,000 lb floor anchors do the same job from one season to the next.
A Laroche utility trailer follows the same calendar: leaves and branches in the fall, firewood before winter, soil and mulch in spring, trips to the recycling depot all year. Since it is galvanized, it can stay outside between uses with no paint to touch up. Many owners have both: an enclosed one for recreation and work, an open one for the yard.
Buying your enclosed trailer at Martin Remorques
At our lot in Saint-Ambroise-de-Kildare, in Lanaudière, you compare a Sport Zone for the snowmobile, a Work Zone for work and a Laroche utility trailer for home. If you were looking at a Nitro, tell us which one: we will show you the trailer that does the same job.
To buy, we work with National Bank of Canada for bank financing and, for businesses, with Crédit-Bail CLÉ for commercial leasing, and we prepare the application with you. After the sale, our workshop handles maintenance, repairs and equipment installation, and our parts counter finds the lighting, hitch, wheels and tires your trailer needs.
Does Martin Remorques sell Nitro Trailers trailers?
No, we are not a Nitro Trailers dealer. We sell Ideal Cargo enclosed trailers and Laroche utility trailers, built in Québec, and we order Weberlane snowmobile trailers.
Do you have a snowmobile trailer?
Yes: the Ideal Cargo Sport Zone, with a 2,000 lb ramp door, four floor anchors and R5 insulation, and, on order, Weberlane enclosed snowmobile trailers with front and rear ramps. For a work sled, a Laroche utility trailer with a rear ramp also does the job.
How does an Ideal Cargo warranty compare with a Nitro’s?
Nitro advertises a 5-year manufacturer warranty. Ideal Cargo warrants the galvanized steel structure of its trailers for 10 years against breakage and for life against corrosion. Also compare what each warranty covers: we give you Ideal Cargo’s terms at purchase.
Can a Laroche utility trailer carry an ATV?
Yes, the 66 in × 10 ft is the best fit: two 2,000 lb axles, a rear ramp, a treated plank floor and four rings to tie down the ATV. Check the ATV’s width against the trailer’s: we measure it with you.
Can you service my Nitro Trailers trailer?
Yes. Our workshop handles general maintenance, repairs and equipment installation on trailers of any make. Call us with the make, year and the work needed. Our parts counter also finds lighting, hitches, wheels and tires.
Can I finance a trailer at Martin Remorques?
Yes. We work with National Bank of Canada for bank financing and, for businesses, with Crédit-Bail CLÉ for commercial leasing. We prepare the application with you; the institution approves it and sets the rate.
