CargoPro trailers at a glance
CargoPro is a brand of ALCOM, the Winslow, Maine aluminum trailer manufacturer, like Mission, E-Z Hauler and Stealth; its sister brand SnoPro makes the snowmobile trailers. CargoPro presents its cargo trailer as all aluminum.
Its enclosed trailer comes from 4 × 6 to 8.5 × 20 ft, with a V-nose, a one-piece aluminum roof, smooth 0.030 in panels, 3/8 in water-resistant walls and Dexter torsion axles. In the 7 ft width, the standard box is 78 in tall, on two 3,500 lb braked axles from the 7 × 12 ft up. It carries a limited lifetime warranty.
What matters in an enclosed work trailer
For a contractor, an enclosed trailer is a workshop that follows the truck. What matters: interior height to work standing up, a side door to reach the gear stored up front without emptying everything, lighting to finish late and a solid lock for the night on site.
The Ideal Cargo Work Zone meets those needs: 80 in of interior height in the 7 ft width and up to 86 in in the 8.5 × 16 ft, double rear doors, a side door with a flush lock and, on several models, a keyed compression lock. The LED dome light, the built-in EVO 3.0 loading light and three-way 12 V switches light up the inside and the back.
The contractor package and upfitting
The 7 × 14 ft Work Zone with the contractor package comes with a ladder, ladder racks and a roof catwalk: you carry your ladders outside and keep the inside for tools. The 8.5 × 16 ft Black Out edition adds a 36 in stone guard, 5,200 lb torsion axles and aluminum wheels.
The rest depends on your trade. Our workshop installs the equipment you need to upfit the trailer, and our parts counter finds the lighting, hitch and accessories. A plumber, an electrician and a landscaper do not lay out their trailer the same way: we start from what you carry every day.
CargoPro or Ideal Cargo: frame and walls
CargoPro builds in aluminum, a light metal that does not rust. The Ideal Cargo rests on a galvanized steel structure, warranted for life against corrosion and for 10 years against breakage, with recycled composite walls covered in aluminum: the maker says its trailer is about 10% lighter than a conventional enclosed trailer.
The other difference is insulation. A CargoPro’s standard walls are 3/8 in water-resistant panels; every Ideal Cargo we sell is R5 insulated, with a white interior. For gear that does not like frost and moisture, such as power tools, batteries or paint, the insulation makes a real difference in winter.
Protecting the trailer and what is inside
A contractor’s enclosed trailer often holds more money in tools than the trailer itself is worth. The first protection is the lock: several of our Work Zone trailers have a keyed compression lock, which pulls the door tight against its seal, on top of the side door’s flush lock. Gutters and vents keep the inside dry without leaving an opening.
Add a coupler lock when the trailer is unhitched, and a wheel clamp if it spends the night on a job site. Park it with the rear door against a wall when you can, and write down its serial number. Our parts and accessories department finds the locks that fit your trailer and your hitch.

Does Martin Remorques sell Cargo Pro trailers?
No, we are not a Cargo Pro dealer. For an enclosed trailer, we sell Ideal Cargo Work Zone and Sport Zone trailers, built in Québec. For work, it is the Work Zone; for an ATV or a snowmobile, the Sport Zone.

What warranty does an Ideal Cargo trailer have?
Ideal Cargo warrants the galvanized steel structure of its trailers for life against corrosion and for 10 years against breakage. We give you the maker’s terms at purchase, and our workshop takes care of the trailer’s maintenance afterwards.
