Cargo Express or Ideal Cargo trailer?
Martin Remorques does not sell Cargo Express. For the same need, here are the brands sold at Martin Remorques:
Cargo Express, a manufacturer in Middlebury, Indiana, builds cargo trailers, contractor trailers like the CXT, car haulers and motorsports trailers, with a 3-year warranty. For the same use, Martin Remorques sells Ideal Cargo enclosed trailers, built in Québec, whose galvanized structure is warranted for 10 years against breakage and for life against corrosion.

Cargo Express trailers at a glance
Cargo Express builds its trailers in Middlebury, Indiana. Its cargo range includes the XL SE, 5 to 8.5 ft wide and 8 to 28 ft long, the EX DLX and the aluminum Pro Series. The CXT is its contractor trailer: 7 or 8.5 ft wide, 12 to 20 ft long, for a 7,000 to 9,900 lb gross vehicle weight rating.
The brand also builds car haulers, race trailers and motorsports trailers, such as the AX, the MOAB for side-by-sides and an XL SE for snowmobiles. Cargo Express advertises a 3-year warranty on its trailers.
CXT or Work Zone: the contractor trailer
At Martin Remorques, the trailer that does a CXT’s job is the Ideal Cargo Work Zone, 7, 7.5 or 8.5 ft wide. It has double rear doors, a side door, 80 in of interior height or 86 in on the raised editions, R5 insulation and a white interior lit by an LED dome light.
The 7.5 × 14 ft rides on 5,200 lb drop axles, with a rear spoiler carrying four white LED lights and a keyed compression lock. The 7 × 14 ft Premium Black Out edition has a black finish and 5,200 lb axles, and the 7 × 14 ft with the contractor package comes with a ladder, ladder racks and a catwalk.
Warranty: 3 years or 10 years
An enclosed work trailer spends years outside, on salted roads, loaded every day. The warranty tells you how long the maker stands behind its structure. Cargo Express advertises 3 years. Ideal Cargo warrants the galvanized steel structure of its trailers for 10 years against breakage and for life against corrosion.
Also compare what each warranty covers: the structure, axles, doors, wiring. We give you Ideal Cargo’s terms at purchase, and our workshop handles the trailer’s maintenance and repairs afterwards, so it stays in good shape long after the warranty ends.
For an ATV, a snowmobile or a motorcycle
Cargo Express has motorsports trailers. At our shop, it is the Ideal Cargo Sport Zone: its rear door folds into a 2,000 lb ramp and its four 5,000 lb floor anchors hold an ATV, a snowmobile or a motorcycle during the trip. The 7 × 12 ft has 80 in inside and a 74 in tall door.
The Sport Zone keeps the Work Zone’s side door, R5 insulation and interior lighting. The vehicle travels dry, out of the salt and snow, and the trailer serves as locked storage between outings. For snowmobiles, we also order Weberlane trailers with front and rear ramps.
An enclosed trailer for a side-by-side
Cargo Express builds the MOAB, a 7.5 ft wide trailer for side-by-sides. A side-by-side is wider and taller than an ATV: before choosing an enclosed trailer, measure its width with the mirrors, its height with the roof and rack, and its length with the rear box.
At our shop, the 7 × 12 ft Sport Zone has a 74 in tall door and 80 in inside, with a 2,000 lb ramp door and four 5,000 lb floor anchors. Its slipper drop axles keep the floor low to soften the climb. The door width and interior space decide what fits: we measure your vehicle with you before you buy.
Buying your enclosed trailer at Martin Remorques
At our lot in Saint-Ambroise-de-Kildare, in Lanaudière, you compare a Work Zone and a Sport Zone side by side, doors open. If you are looking at a Cargo Express CXT or XL SE, note its width, length and interior height: we will show you the Ideal Cargo that does the same job.
To buy, we work with National Bank of Canada for bank financing and, for businesses, with Crédit-Bail CLÉ for commercial leasing, and we prepare the application with you. After the sale, our workshop handles maintenance, repairs and equipment installation, and our parts counter finds the lighting, hitch, wheels and tires your trailer needs.
Does Martin Remorques sell Cargo Express trailers?
No, we are not a Cargo Express dealer. For an enclosed trailer, we sell Ideal Cargo Work Zone and Sport Zone trailers, built in Québec. The Work Zone does a CXT’s job, and the Sport Zone that of a motorsports trailer.
Which Ideal Cargo replaces a Cargo Express CXT?
A 7, 7.5 or 8.5 ft wide Ideal Cargo Work Zone, depending on the width of the CXT you are looking at. The 7.5 × 14 ft and the 8.5 × 16 ft suit contractors with a lot of gear, and the 7 × 14 ft comes with the contractor package.
Do you have a 7.5 ft wide enclosed trailer?
Yes, the 7.5 ft wide Ideal Cargo Work Zone, 14 and 16 ft long, with 80 in of interior height, 5,200 lb drop axles and a keyed compression lock. It gives you 6 in more between the shelves than a 7 ft model.
Does the Ideal Cargo warranty cover rust?
Yes for the structure: an Ideal Cargo’s galvanized steel is warranted for life against corrosion and for 10 years against breakage, according to the maker. We give you the full terms at purchase.
Can you service my Cargo Express trailer?
Yes. Our workshop handles general maintenance, repairs and equipment installation on trailers of any make. Call us with the make, year and the work needed. Our parts counter also finds lighting, hitches, wheels and tires.
Can I finance an enclosed trailer at Martin Remorques?
Yes. We work with National Bank of Canada for bank financing and, for businesses, with Crédit-Bail CLÉ for commercial leasing. We prepare the application with you; the institution approves it and sets the rate.
